about Triple J / Trops

Triple J, (real name Jeremy Jordan-Jones) began rapping in 7th grade, thanks to the suggestion of long-time friend Matthew Usukumah, also known to many as The Candy Man, and new found friend Ryan Flanzer, also known as DJ Bun Bun. The trio began Moneybags Entertainment, an amateur music imprint with no experience besides the occasional experimentation of music creating software MAGIX Music Maker and Sony ACID. Candy Man's older brother, Henry Usukumah, commonly known as Henry Da 9th, played a role of great influence upon the tenacious trio, as he had began his own music group known as English Channel Entertainment. The group was determined to get their music out to the public, meeting and recording at a mutual friend, DJ Bun Bun's House, staying up to 3 in the morning, composing makeshift recordings over simple beats made by The Candy Man.

Over time, music had lost its high position on the list of priorities for Triple J. Then a freshman at Scarsdale High School, there were too many things to be focused on, and music unfortunately was not one of them. Between football and school, or family and friends, or any combination of the four, there was not enough time in the week to pay attention to music. Constantly discouraged by many to give up rapping because of the doubt of others, and the virtually non-existent chance of making it big, Triple J put his music on hold, not sure whether or not he would return to his formerly favorite pastime.

In January of 2007, his mother, and best friend, Marcia Jordan passed away from an unexpected brain aneurism. Triple J's world had come crashing down upon him, as he felt lost and abandoned, with not the slightest bit of hope instilled within him. However, by the graces of God, his aunt and uncle, Marian and Salvatore Pitta, who he had known since birth and lived with, had offered to let him and his sister stay with them in the house that all of them (including the late Marcia Jordan) had lived in. In dire need of a method of expression, Triple J had returned to the production of music. With more experience and something to say, he began vigorously writing lyrics like there was no tomorrow. Fast forward 5 months to the finished production of his first EP, Point Perspective. The album was mostly a mixtape, with only 2 original tracks, but each track had been given the very most effort. The album was dedicated to the memory of his mother. The Progress made by the completion of Point Perspective gained the attention of a friend of Triple J's, Ari Krapin, younger brother of New York Underground rapper Kraype. Krapin had known another rapper, Daniel Lonner, who is known by the stage name L.E.D.. Triple J, The Candy Man, and L.E.D. had gotten together to collaborate and create Eclypse Entertainment, with the assistance of a friend of L.E.D.'s, Scott Jacobson, known as DJ Taps. The four have recently finished the production of L.E.D.'s first album, The Red Tape, and have begun promotion for Triple J and L.E.D., as well as the production of Triple J's sophomore EP, Prepare for Impact, the precursor to his first album of completely original tracks, titled Until Forever. “Prepare for Impact" is expected to be finished around late February of 2009 and released in mid-march. The release date for Until Forever to this remains unknown, but will hopefully be sold in stores, making way for a long-hoped for contract with a major record label.

In a here-today-gone-tomorrow music world, one thing will remain true: Triple J will continue to give his all in his music production, and guarantees that everything he works on will be of the best possible quality for the consumer. Music is defined as, an art of sound in time that expresses ideas and emotions in significant forms through the elements of rhythm, melody, harmony, and color. Triple J is an artist, creating masterpieces that strike and provoke a variety of ideas and emotions, because music is not only a collection of sounds and scores, it is a universal language, which should be spoken with the utmost sincerity.
