Tarcea R. Smith A.K.A Toi Game is an unsigned, female rapper and producer coming straight from the Streets of St. Louis. Toi is a young extraordinary female who was introduced to hip hop as a child. She developed a passion for creating her own music when she was 5 years old, after receiving a toy microphone for her 5th Christmas. The name Toi came from one of her grandmothers who could barely say her real name when Toi was born and Game was added on later as she grew up and loved to play video games and sports through her childhood, that's why she's now Toi Game.
Toi Game has been through about everything that the St. Louis streets has to offer. Toi Game, was born and raised on the Northside of St. Louis in a hectic, St. Louis City area called "Walnut Park!" You might have heard the rapper "Chingy" mention some of the things that go own in that little area, including the gun-shots "every night" and the losing of a family member or friend, time and time again. Over there she went through the phases of selling drugs, dodging bullets, gang banging, and just about everything else. After a long time of being into these things, Toi realized that music was the best thing for her to stick to doing.
Influenced by some of the best to ever grace the music game such as Jay-Z, Tupac, Lil' Wayne, Chris Brown, Aaliyah, R. Kelly, Nas, Notorious B.I.G. and many other big league artists and producers, Toi Game has developed her own style combined with an overall influence from the styles of all the artists she love. Carrying the past on her shoulders has sometimes been tough, but she has managed to turn to something other than what most would after growing up in hectic environments such as the one she grew up in. Toi , turned to the inhaling and exhaling of the rap game! Seeming to not have a choice but to express her past ways of life and what days are like now, and she sometimes has to resort to her rapping or who knows what she would be into...
Toi Game is now 18 years old now and grinding harder than ever. She has been rapping ever since about 7 years old! Back Then, as she told me, "I wasn't nearly as serious about my music as I am now, but it seems like it just grew up with me, and I stuck with it like a mother and their child!" "So, now, In sparity of my time, I write songs and make the beats that fit the song's groove." Toi has been in several recording studios, professional and non-professional. Now she's beginning to build her own. She's teamed up with local and out of town artists all around St. Louis and other cities.
Basically, as life goes on...She just continues to love rapping, making beats, recording, and getting heard! The majority of the time, even-though she's a supposed to be playful, Sagittarius, she talks or works on strictly BIZ, in other words just her music when conversations jump off! From the music and other's opinions that I've heard, she raps and makes beats for everyone that may ever listen to music! The sound is like no-one else you've ever heard! She is VERY AMBITIOUS AND ON A MISSION, TO GET HEARD, SIGNED, LIKED, AND LOVED, BY EVERYONE(INCLUDING YOU) ! Her raw talent hopefully overrides all of the speculations and stereo-typed things about females doing good things for themselves after coming from behind a rough background...
