First, a word about the Music “Reggae”.

Born in Jamaica in the 1960’s. Grown to become one of the most uplifting and conscious music of all the different music genres. Reggae is about "Truth and Rights", “Love and Peace”, “ Good Vibes with Good Livity”. Its lyrics are distinct in their political, social, and religious messages. Reggae is a distinct sound, it's beat called One Drop is the pulse of the people of Jamaica and widely spreading around the globe.

The Producer -The Studio - The Label

Stereophonic Productions is a recording studio and management company owned and operated by Ephraim “ Bertie” Edwards, an enterprising, young Jamaican, living and working in Boston, Massachusetts. Bertie graduated from Norhteastern University in 1989, with a BSEE. Immediately recruited by GenRad Inc., he pursued electrical engineering for 5 years, while planning the formation of his own production studio and recording label.

Stereophonic Studio Opened its doors in 1992 as Boston’s only Jamaican owned, recording studio and released its first reggae products in 1994. Patterning his studio after Jamaican reggae producers before him, such as King Tubby, King Jammy, Sir Coxson Dodd, Bertie’s ambitions are to create a distinctive sound and identity that he can be proud of now and in the future. “ The industry is full of trends. Entertainers, producers and musicians emerge and fade away daily. It can be very competitive and challenging but with well talented artists that shows good potential for longevity, through original and creative lyrics and music, we plan to be around for a while without compromising values, vibes or the integrity of the music we love and called Reggae.”
