2_Smoov born, Rick Loftin, was born in raised in Omaha, NE. He has traveled throughout the US touching down in California, Tennessee, Alabama, Missouri, Kansas, Texas, Mississippi, and Minnesota. In all of these areas, he has studied the differences in culture and music, and has developed a style and approach that is relevant to all hip-hop lovers. He has been writing songs since the age of twelve, and has performed on open mic sessions at various night club venues. He has dazzled every crowd with his originality, and creativity. He’s had songs played at large club scenes, and received great responses from DJ’s, and the attending crowds. 2_Smoov’s name originated from one of his childhood friends stating that his athletic ability, word-play with the ladies, and creative flow make him too smooth for the competition. The young ladies agreed, and 2_Smoov was created- even the name had to be creative. He has also been working in Corporate America, as a Bank Manager, making ends meet until the rap explosion; Hence, the Corporate Thug Hustla. 2_Smoov grew up for most of his years in the North Omaha area. Amidst the negativity, 2_Smoov learned the street hustle and kept positive about what the future could bring- with street smarts AND intelligence. He stayed in school in the day, hung on the streets at night, but kept his eye on the prize---The art of rap. In the past few years, he has had many mixxtape tracks heard throughout the hip-hop nation on websites and CD’s. Here, in 2006, 2_Smoov has his game plan in tact, and he is ready to hit the game hard, as he is self proclaimed the “Best out of the Midwest”. His hit single that is out right now is called “Mo Brains than Money”. It has been played on the radio several times, and has received a great response from every audience. The single is off of the unreleased album “Ante Up”. 2_Smoov is on the verge of stardom with his new-style flow, and unheard punch lines. This is the beginning of something special, a Midwestern Phenomenon!!! 2_Smoov is also the President of a rapidly growing entertainment company, SL Entertainment. 2_Smoov opened up for Lil Scrappy on Dec 9th, 2006.
