about 4-Hi$-City
Im 510 about 165 in the paint. I was born July 21st, 1986 at Swedish American Hospital in Rockford, IL. I got to other brothers from the same mom and dad. As a young child I was always smart in school. I brung home honor roll all the way thru 7th grade but thats when it all begun. This is the true life story of Talib Akeem Jackson.
My mom was very abusive. She beat or behinds like it was a sport three times a day sometime more depending on if she had friends over or not. My mom was a very neat person so she made sure we kept her house spotless. She had us very trained. I played football for Booker Washington Center and basketball elementary and middle school. One day after basketball practice I was wondering why my mom was an hour late, well her boyfriend Bruce was an hour late. When we arrived home I noticed my mom sitting on the couch crying. She called my brothers down the stairs and told us to pack our belonging. We were so confused but did what she asked. After a long hour drive we finally pulled up at my granny house. We unloaded our bags and placed them on my grannies doorstep. My mom asked for our house keys and drove off. I thought Ill never see her again. Grandma and grandpa went to court and became our legal guardians.
My grandpa was the only person I ever felt truly loves me. About one year later he passed. Due to no longer feeling like I had any love ones I turned to the streets. I sold pack for O Gs who showed a lot of respect to me because the way I was putting in work for them. That lasted for a while until I was able to gain enough knowledge and respect to claim my own territory and hold it down with my crew. At fifteen I caught my first case as a juvenile. I couldnt wait to get their because most of the members of my crew been their before and informed me of how it was. I got out after twenty three days and received five years of probation. In between that time I violated my probation eleven times. I went to juvenile twelve times. Sounds crazy but its true.I caught a couple of pistol cases, possession of cannabis, fighting in school, dirty drops, and so on. I didnt regret it then because I was trying to eat and I knew my granny couldnt do it all by herself. I was just trying to help. I got sent to Gateway Youth foundation in Lake Villa, IL for six months due to another probation violation. When I got out I started doing what I did best, hustling and got shot in my right shoulder when someone dressed in all black held me at gunpoint. I got locked off of weapon charges that night and received thirty days in juvenile and 5 months in the D.R.C. (daily reporting center) program at the juvenile Assessment Center. I pulled out successfully because Im a survivor. When I got out the D.R.C program I went back to East High School and met this female who became my baby mother.
Having a child changed my whole thought process. Life to me means friends and family who you can trust and who trusts you. I am pretty much on the happy side of life, but like all people I do I have my "days off." That means I do have some sad days or depressed days. As I said in the beginning, I was born here in Rockford, IL and I've lived here my whole life. I would like to see more of the USA but unfortunately, I don't have any money to leave Rockford to go anywhere right now. I hope you have enjoyed reading my life story as much as I have enjoyed writing it for you.
