about Steve Gray's Dark Corners
I'm a Bassist/Guitarist/ Vocalist and recording artist with just a little over 20 years experience under my belt. And when I'm not performing and writing music, I'm a Tattoo Artist/ Illustrator. In the time that I've been doing music, I've had the tremendous honor of rubbing elbows and becoming aquainted with some pretty prestigious names in the business, such as, John Schafer (Iced Earth), Bobby Blitz, (Overkill), Jon Oliva (Savatage), and Twiggy Ramirez (Marilyn Manson). I'm also proud to say that some of the people I've played alongside with have since gone on to do great thing s musically as well. My interest in doing solo projects developed over time as I went through band after band, member change after member change, and of course after several years of honing my craft, I began to truly admire how people like David Bowie, Trent Reznor and Rob Zombie took a sort of "my own way" approach to getting things done.I can definetely see where that attitude is more productive. In addition to compiling all material together and putting it out there (namely speaking, this 1st album), I also am in charge of my own writing, performing my own music, (which will be on the 2nd album coming soon), production, and all associated artwork which accompanies everything. I must say that I feel that I've accomplished more doing things as a solo artist than I ever have while being accountable to 4 or 5 other people.
