about Shake Azalia
In 2004, through the sweat and humidity in Port Charlotte FL, there was a little girl named "Azalia" hurling her arms in the air and shaking her head to a melodic sound pouring out of a garage. It was at this time that the now Asheville, NC located band "Shake Azalia" was born. ‘SA’ took Florida by storm sharing the stage with amazing bands and generating a long lasting fan base. Three of its original members migrated north in 2007, where they completed their line-up by adding three more like-minded musicians. The end result features: Darren Brown on vocals, Billy Patton on lead guitar, Colin Gelinas on rhythm guitar, Bucky McCann on rhythm guitar, and Anthony Gates on bass. this unique compilation of musicians have found their niche in the metal scene by mingling tasty solos and synchronized pop-rhythm guitars with passionate vocals and unyielding drum beats. this approach has proven that “sa” will not fall quietly into the crowd. All of the members in ‘SA’ have shared the same beliefs but just recently have made the declaration to promote Christ, no longer just through their personal life styles, but through the gifts given to them by their Creator.
