if you want my 'professional' bio, go to my blogs. i personally hate bios. besides, who knows me better then me? and after years of struggling to find my identity,im finally comfortable in my own skin. i dont pretend to be something i am not. what i am is a musician. im a singer/songwriter. im sensitive but have learned to accept the fact that you cant please everyone. ill put myself on the line for the sake of my music. and my family. my mother, my father, and my brother. i bleed for them. they are my oak tree of stability with their roots keeping me grounded to the earth. they act as my agents. nothing i do in music goes forward without their valued opinion. i love challenges and obstacles. i love being told that 'it cant be done'. it fuels me. but ive learned to no longer look at things negatively. ive learned to let grudges go. ive learned that love can over come pain. i am still learning. still growing. and my music is better for it. music is no longer a hobby. i look at it as a career. ive appeared on numerous tv shows and have experienced 'minimal' publicity. ive spent countless nights in bedroom studios, basement studios, and major studios. i treat ALL my performances equally like it were my last whether its for one person or hundreds. i dont believe in short cuts. success is the reflection of hard work. ive seen with my own 2 eyes the pitfalls of this music industry. while chasing my music BA in los angeles, i received a real life crash course education on what it really means to be a struggling musician; working full-time, going to school full-time, and recording and performing full-time, just to eat and make rent. i know how to survive and my faith in God is stronger then ever because of it. ive suffered heartbreaks, personally and professionally. ive lost friends and have gained new ones. i take NOTHING for granted. i realize that my plan is different from Gods plan, in which mine doesnt matter. i do know that He has put certain people in my life to help me get to where i want to be. i have a great management team. i have the luxury of working with incredible producers, whom ive gotten to know through the years. my support system is irreplaceable. you know who you are. thank you. thank you for the opportunity to be heard. i fully accept the responsibility you put on me to continually create quality music thats honest and real. im inspired by you. im inspired by all the greats before me. too many to list. so with that being said, label or no label, deal or no deal, love or no love, what you see is what you get. i wear my emotions on my sleeve. literally. oh yeah... my name is ROCKY SANDOVAL.
