about Stepper Rhodes
Stepper Rhodes (a.k.a) Danny Lajoie has been writing and recording songs since he was nine. He has written hundreds of songs. He has produced and recorded nine EP's over the years with different bands but never marketed a single one untill now. Working in various warehouses during the day for the past 5 years, to pay the bills, and to keep his nights and weekends free for music, he started writing some songs about real life frustrations. Enter Stepper Rhodes. Since the creation of the first Stepper Rhodes song, it was clear that something was happening and that Stepper Rhodes was taking over. The music has an energy that won't be found in Lajoie's previous recordings. This energy is what caused him to quit his warehouse job and pursue music as a full time gig. His first album is called "Warehouse Blues" and will be released in the Fall of 2007. It is a collection of songs that tell the story of a working man, slaving away in a warehouse, trying to be a good provider, all the while he can't get these songs out of his head. This eventually causes him to make a decision, and he leaves the warehouse guitar in hand. It was produced, written, arranged, performed, engineered and mixed by Lajoie in his apartment bedroom. For the time being, Lajoie is focused on finishing the recording, and once it is complete, he will set out to publicly release his first album. If you want to support Stepper Rhodes, keep him out of the Warehouse by spreading the music to as many ears as possible.
