Eric Hood born September 11, 1968 in trenton, New Jersey. Started his music career during his highschool year in a small group called "Latest Edition". The group formed under the guidence of corey reese. His love for music has always been there being a member of his local church choir. But it wasn't until he went into the military when his love for hip hop really took control of his life. He was influenced by artist such as KRS-ONE, Public Enemy, tupac just to name a few. It was the message that they were able to project that drew him to becoming a rapper.

Like with anything he got on the grind and started just writing until he found his own style. But tragedy hit in late 2004 that took all of his attention off his craft. He began to think that the dream wasn't coming through so he stopped. It wasn't until mid 2005 when his oldest son came to him with a plan that would put the dream back in to play. Since then we have put out various mixtapes and performed shows. In 2007 Prodigal formed a record label Kovenant Records LLC. He felt no one can sell his brand better than he could. At that time he signed artist such Young Fab (ohio) Jay Roc (Rome ga) K.C. (son). Just as things were looking good again tragedy struck when he lost his daughter on March 15, 2009, RIP Shay! But again God gave us mercy and we still grew. He owes everything to God, family, his cali mentor(you know who you are) and his oldest son for where he is at in the game Thanks yall!!!!
