about Perpetual Groove
Perpetual Groove spent the last months of 2001 concentrating on building a strong fan base in the South. With so many potential new markets in the surrounding Southeast, the band decided that the best way to attack the music scene was to barrage it with tons of free music. Thus was born the Perpetual Groove promotional machine. By replacing traditional flyers with live CDs advertising upcoming shows, www.pgroove.com, and of course showcasing their music, Perpetual Groove fans clamor to get the latest show.
Perpetual Groove has been the fastest growing act of the South in 2002 and 2003. Consistent touring has brought the band out of the low country of Georgia to the Carolinas, Florida, Alabama, Tennessee, Mississippi, and Louisiana. And with successful tours in the Midwest & the Northeast behind them, Perpetual Groove is poised to go National with their 2003 summer tour. With tour stops from California to New York and festival stops at High Sierra and Berkfest, the band continues to grow and cultivate a fanbase around the country. While the live CDs convey the energy onstage at each show, the recently recorded debut studio album, Sweet Oblivious Antidote, truly showcases the craftsmanship that goes into each song. The first album to feature the current members of Perpetual Groove was released on Harmonized Records, a subsidiary of the Home Grown Music Network. Perpetual Groove has earned a reputation on being a courteous and professional touring group with all eyes looking to the future.
