D.Amont’e (Dante Askew) began to grasp the concept of song writing and arranging at 14 years of age. His musical attributes also include producing, writing, and performing. Whether it’s creating melodies or pulling the strings over an attentive audience, D.Amont’e definitely understands the concept of the entertainment industry.
Just as any other great talent has done, D.Amont’e has endured the ever so famous open microphone circuit, blessing many stages with his style of sound and unique voice texture. You can find all kinds of examples on his latest Cd entitled “The Window,” which is written as a musical story about love and lost through D.Amont’e eyes. With the help of Skipp Waller (CEO/BlackCat Inc.), D.A managed to compile spoken word and neo-soul combined with R&B singing.
