New Familiars at Stella Blue Thursday 1/24 Artist: The New Familiars Where: Stella Blue When: Thursday 1/24/08 Time: 9 PM Cost: $7 Known as The New Familiars, the group originally started as a collaboration between childhood buddies Justin Fedor (mandolin, guitar, banjo) and Eric-Scott Guthrie (harmonica, guitar, banjo); however it was after pairing up with Josh Daniel (resonator guitar, guitar), James Stratford (bass guitar), and Ryan Ramirez (drums) that The New Familiars’ sound started evolving. All together they bring an infectious camaraderie to the stage, while in the studio have combined to produce a tantalizing glimpse of their musical presence with their debut studio EP, a six song disc entitled ‘The Storm’. These gentlemen combine an amazing passion for harmony with multi-instrumental talent and an uncanny ability for storytelling. Writing folk music from the core - of the people, by the people, and for the people - while incorporating the multitudes of influences that each of the members bring to the table, this band is a powerful swell in a new wave of honest roots-derived rock n’ roll that is sweeping the nation in the wake of a very tumultuous time in our history. Just named on WNCW's top 20 of regional artists, their song, The Storm, came in at #13. For a sneak preview be sure to check them out live on WNCW Thursday afternoon, 1/24/08. about Stella Blue
We are a grassroots company specializing in event management, staffing and consulting. For all event planners, promoters and employers, one thing is certain: event management is a whirlwind of responsibilities, tasks, and operational activities that must come together to create a successful live event, no matter how large or small the event may seem. The endless train of responsibilities that come with promoting and directing an event of your own can take its toll. Being in charge of management, operations and booking for our own events for the past 15 years, we sympathize with this position.
One thing we've learned over the years is that no matter how good we are as promoters, we can't do it all. It's important to have experienced people that can be trusted, focusing on specific areas of the event, to ensure they're properly developed, planned and executed. For this reason, Mountain Roots Management offers its services in extensive event management operations in order to allow the promoter to concentrate on their responsibilities and fulfill the events full potential.
Mountain Roots Management exists to provide consulting, staffing and logistical on-site support to all types of events. With over 40 years of combined experience in a vast array of events, Mountain Roots Management has extensive knowledge and ability in overseeing the operation of all areas of an event.
