Catchy hooks coupled with sophisticated songwriting. With an ever-changing sound reminiscent, at times, of Cake, Spoon, Hot Hot Heat, The Decemberists, and even Muse, Molehill's eclectic mix of influences gives them a sound that is accessible to audiences but not played out.

Molehill released their debut album, Rock & Mole, in late 2007. The album presents a mixture of songs each with its own style, and ties these styles together into one cohesive thread.

Molehill has been playing in Chicago for a little over 2 years, and is now headlining some of the most prestigious venues in town. They also brought their act to D.C. and the East Coast to an enthusiastic response. They have shared a stage with Blind Melon, The Photo Atlas, Royal Bliss, Resident Hero, they have had feature articles in 2 Chicago music magazines, and they have appeared on Comcast On-Demand cable.

The individual members of Molehill are actively involved in music throughout the country and also abroad. They have performed with artists such as Lew Soloff, Galen Butler, Cassius Clay, and NYCO. Their performances have taken them to Carnegie Hall, Kimmel Center (Philadelphia), and Symphony Center in Chicago, as well as Germany, France, Wales, Belgium, and Switzerland.

Every show seems to be better than the one before, and very big things are in the future for this hard-working band. With a solid musical background, and a reputation for explosive live performances, the band never takes a night off, and the fans always leave satisfied.
