about Jeffrey Nixon
I was born and raised in St. Louis, MO., Jeffrey Vernon Nixon, the third of six children. I began writing music around fifteen years of age. I have since written over three hundred melodies, most of which have not come to life or been recorded except for four cds. I have written several settings of the catholic mass, and a book of children's songs while teaching music to elementary schools and playing for church. I am primarily trained in classical piano, I have an associates degree in music, I've played in piano recitals and have been the keyboard player for a couple of R and B/jazz groups. I intend to continue to write and perform, when the setting suits me, in hopes of coming in contact with someone of means who recognizes my talents and is willing to work with me towards my goal of becoming a lucrative composer/recording artist. By no means am I saying I am only interested in people of opulence, but money is of course necessary. I am currently an AT&T employee, a husband and father of five, with little time and resources for the music that is me. I do not drink, smoke, do drugs or party, I am a Christian and a square, a square even by today's Christian standards. But I am an interesting man and am pleased with my self description.
