about Lennon Ramone and the Lost Soulmates
Len's big success came in the late 60's with a band called the Marauders. Back then Len opened for big name acts such as The Beach Boys and The Rolling Stones . After successfully stealing drummer Ope' OJ Octopus from the band The Chili Wack's , Lennon formed a new act called the Mud Kings. In the 70's they performed with the likes of Blue Cheer a famous one hit wonder band known for the song ( Ain't no cure for the summer time blues ) Add in a one night stop with Bud Corkel who was once the bassist for Pablo Cruise. The Mud Kings finally desolved into the abyss ending their long run of performances with an opener for the band Steelbreeze of Sacramento in the late 80's . Lennon Ramone first met the Lost Soulmates at a benefit concert where they were the back up band for the tenth version of an old Motown group called the Drifters in 1995. By the summer of 2005 Lennon was growing tired and bored playing the bass guitar six nights a week for an Elvis impersonator in Oregon named Rob Hunka . After a brief collaboration on a new direction with OJ and Bear of ( The Lost Soulmates ) in 2009 , Lennon Ramone agreed to strap back on his distortion six string and return to the studio. The hard driven rock and roll feel of the new album proved to be very therapeutic for Len. Rock felt fresh again. The spotlight shines once more on Lennon Ramone. Now with two solid veteran performers holding down the punch and groove behind him , Lennon Ramone and The Lost Soulmates next stop will be at the California State Fair opening for The Peter King Puppet Show. Check out there new song THE IDOL . It tells the rest of the story.
