Biography: Rashod “J-Dogg” Sherman

Rashod was born in the year of 1978 and was always in a family of musical talented

people. He learned how to play a full drum set at the age of three by his father; who

started playing in the church. Rashod started learning about the rap culture and how to

work it by reading poetry in elementary school. Rhyming with poetry started becoming

unique to him; which made him to be able to write his own rhymes. As time elevated; he

graduated from high school; which right afterwards was his first time recording in a

recording studio back in 1997. As time forwarded; he started being able to make his own beats; which

he usually used drum machines and key boards. At that particular time, performances

were not involved. Thereafter; he was able to form a group called Poetic Lordz. The

group then started writing, making beats, and were in the studio often. After all of this;

the first thing Rashod accomplished was producing an EP; which was locally in stores in

Omaha, Ne the year of 1999; which is were he was born and grew up. The EP’s sold out!

Things continued after this as far as staying in the studio, writing, and also doing a little

performing while the album was being produced. Rashod was doing a lot of the

promoting for the album while the EP was still selling. In the year 2000, the Mandatory

Situations album was released; but only in the state of Nebraska. At that same time,

Rashod and the Poetic Lordz were working on there second album.

Rashod is now a solo artist and now working and doing his own

material. His first solo album is being worked on right now and is called JD’s Revenge;

which will be released at an unknown date. His main focus is production and

networking.
