GIJU
An innovative world/pop music vocalist, producer and world-ranked Salsa dancer, Giju has awakened audiences with his versatile and energetic style since his youth. With a remarkable power to move the spirit, Giju is positioned as one of the most compelling and captivating performers to hit the Indian and world music scene. His first album, released in June 2007 by Raga-to-Rock Records, features six singles including the hot title Salsa track, �Rang Rangeeli�.
An amazingly gifted artist, Giju is also an accomplished Salsa dancer and choreographer. He is an original member of the �Salsamania Dance Company�, a world-ranked Salsa dance troupe known for its hypnotic performances � marked by high levels of speed and technical difficulty. As a lead member of Salsamania, Giju performs and competes throughout the U.S., Europe and Mexico.
The music GIJU produces and performs is truly original. The release of his first album, "Rang Rangeeli Yeh Duniya", marks the FIRST ever Hindi/Salsa cross-over album. That both the associated music video (viewable on YouTube), and the new album have been so well received, is a strong and positive indication that his unique style has made a mark on the Pop / World Music lovers across the globe.

Progressive 4 Week Workshop and Audition On2 Salsa * Cha-Cha * Bachata Shines and Patterns If you want to audition or just hone your dancing skills, grab this great opportunity to learn from a world renowned salsa dancer and performer. Also get performing and dancing tips from some of the top SalsaMania dancers! Time: 1:00-3:00pm Workshop Dates: Saturday 1/5, 1/12, 1/19, 1/26 Audition Date: 1/26 Place: Alameda School of Dance, 1402 Park St, Alameda, CA 94501 Cost: $15/ea or $50 for full series in advance If you are an Intermediate, or Advanced Salsa dancer, with a serious attitude about learning come and join us.
