At last, hip-hop is re-birthed by an up & coming artist/producer/songwriter and graphic designer presently known as Gatur. From the land of many greats (Staten Island, NY a.k.a. Shaolin a.k.a Secta 5) emerges an artist whose lyrics attack like the calm, yet, deadly animal of his moniker.

The cleverly titled debut CD, ART of MUSIC, adorned with musical arrangements comparable to live bands and well thought lyrics is currently being fine tuned and mixed down. A sneak peek at the artists’ musical paintings can be reviewed online at www.myspace.com/GATUR81 .

Gaturs’ interest in music began at The Theater of Dance Movement in Queens where he trained as a percussionist learning how to read and write. The gift for poetry, perfected through contests such as M.A.D.D. led to the writing of lyrics. Unable to find a producer to compliment his flow, the determined artist purchased a keyboard, eight track mixer, microphone, and amplifier and began perfecting his beats and lyrics. In his debut song “No Games” Gatur confesses, “…..I got rhymes by the boatload, Secta five cause an overload, explode, like bottles in the freezer, and I aint even warm yet this is just a teaser…” LOL
