The 54 Regiment was assembled by brothers Freeeze and Juiceman; (Alex and Ojei Omeke) a.k.a. “The Ambassadas of the South,” in 1996. Houston is a place that the 54 Regiment calls home, while they have lived on both the southeast and southwest sides of the city. However, the Motherland is their real home as it explains the truth behind the “Ambassadas of the South.” Brothers Freeeze and Juiceman use their direct African roots to politic with all types of cultures, ethnicities and breeds that choose to listen.

The definition of an ambassador is as follows, “A diplomatic official of the highest rank appointed and accredited as a representative in residence by one government or sovereign to another usually for a specific length of time.” The 54 Regiment uses this technique to bridge the gap between “Corporate America” and everyday scenarios dealt with residents of the South through their lyrics and sounds.

Currently Juiceman, 23, a.k.a. “The Engineer” is entering his last year of college. Juiceman’s aggressive, yet informative rap style combines his competitive nature with intellect while he is working on an Industrial Engineering degree and Team Captain MLB. Freeeze, 25, a.k.a. “LEX,” is a Microsoft System Engineer and is currently expanding his career in the IT industry. When it comes to rap, Freeeze combines an excellent rap voice with a smooth delivery of lyrical heat.

The 54 Regiment is an organization that is great in numbers, the committee spans throughout Texas and other parts of the nation, and Nigeria. The 54 Regiment believes in 100% satisfaction and creating classics. Their music touches every aspect of rap, ranging from the club to the streets to the females and even old school. Their goal is to rejuvenate and restructure the rap game and restore it to its true essence.
