about Faith Locke
Just imagine yourself being immersed in beautiful musical and lyrical songs. Cheniqua Gardiner also known, as “FAITH LOCKE” is a fascinating and talented performing artist whose music experiences reflect her Inspirational and Opera genres. She was born and raised in the Bahamas. Her musical experiences were developed at a very young age when she began singing in New Providence District children’s’ choirs and the “The Bahamas Baptist Heavenly Voices.
At the age of fifteen, she joined The Bahamas National Youth Choir (a world renowned touring choir that traveled extensively through-out Europe and Asia) under the directorship of Mr. Cleophas R.E Adderley (Director of Culture) where she continued to develop into a versatile singer and performer. During her tenure with the choir, she traveled to Canada, Trinidad, Tabago and various Family Islands in the Bahamas. She has appeared as a soloist with The National Youth Choir and University of Miami Symphony Orchestra during the Choir’s Fifth Anniversary presentation of the “Nelson” Mass by Haydn where she has had the privilege to sing for the Governor General (His Excellency Sir Orville Turnquest) of the Bahamas.
Cheniqua was barely eighteen years old and, her rich voice was equivalent with that of more mature seasoned soloists. It was during this time that she was recognized by the critics in the music society to have been a child prodigy as far as her music ability was concerned.
Her debut single will be released this summer.
