Entropy started out as nothing more than a “Studio Project”. Between Darren Grovatt a soft spoken, modest and very low-key guy who is an excellent Singer, Songwriter and Guitarist, Darren had been through the whole “Band Thing” for years. Playing various venues that other acts like Creed, P Roach, and Shine Down were known to frequent. But as fate would have it… Grovatt’s band did not go the distance. He began playing un-plugged versions of his extensive original catalog of songs…. in various café type settings.

Then by a chance encounter he ran into Richard Michael… a brash, abrasive die hard Rock & Roll tattooed musician/producer. Grovatt and Michael are perhaps best described as polar opposites. Against all odds they became fast friends… Naturally they began working together on what would become Entropy… In Michael’s studio they quickly realized that the marriage of these two unlikely personalities was yielding music that was simply fantastic and very original.
If we had to put it in a category… I guess Alt. Rock would be about right. But the fans will ultimately decide what genre the music is.

The consensus was to keep on going… They decided on the name Entropy much like Trent Reznor was “Nine Inch Nails”. In reality Entropy was never supposed to be a “band”. However Grovatt and Michael came to realize that this music is so good that it MUST BE HEARD. So as they continue to write and record what will be their first CD together known as Entropy …so does the evolution of the “Band” continue...
