When I was about 16 years old, a friend of mine took me to my first rave. It was awesome, of course, and the next morning after being "partied out", went with a group of friends to a house party. At that party, everyone was taking turns on the turntables. They asked me if I wanted to give it a try and I was instantly hooked. They called me "the unNatural"

HERE I AM ALMOST 19 YEARS LATER AND I'M STILL HOOKED!
I started making a name for myself in Portland Oregon where I was living at the time. I was dj Moose then. From there I moved to San Francisco for the next 12 years. In SF I became dj Juxtapoze. That later turned into DjSkoog. In SF I got to play such a huge new arena of venues. Bars, Nightclubs, Danceclubs, and of course, Raves. I was also the resident dj for a Hip-Hop bar for awhile. I was playing one night a bar called "Pow" when I was approached by a very well known dj at the time named Simply Jeff. He said he thought I really had a flavor and asked me if I wanted to play with him and some other guys at his next show. That next show, It was the night The Wicked Sound System was to play in San Fran. Holly Shit is all I could think. I wasn't headlineing or anything, and nobody knew who I was, but it so didn't matter. I got to fucking open for non-other than the infamous Doc Martin. I even got to chill in the V.I.P. area afterwards where a female dj named DRC gave me a tab of really really good exstacy.

After SF, I decided to move to Hawaii with a boyfriend. It's beautiful there. 2 weeks after arriving, two friends from SF named Big Tom and Little Tom also moved to Hawaii. Tom and Tom are huge promoters for all kinds of parties and functions that have been famous for years, like the "Alcatraz Boat Cruze" and more. Tom and Tom asked me to be their Headline Dj for the parties they were going to start throwing called "Fresh". Loved that job too, but as of 9/11, I was no longer gonna stay in Hawaii.

After Hawaii, I moved for 2 years to Mexico City. That was crazy fun. Mexico City is wild and has a population of 33 Million people. I spun twice there for a couple of downtown nightclubs but thats about it. It was hard to get a gig being a gringo from the states. Currently, I'm back in Portland Oregon. I'm the resident dj for a bar called Scandals. I also work on and off for another bar in NW Portland named Mu Mu's. I'm getting itchy and really want to get moving again, perhaps anywhere in the world but not really sure where I may head yet.
