about TRINUMERAL 9:
Hello! My name is Ellie LaBar and I am a musician. I began playing the violin at the age of 4 and have played consistently for the past 20 years. I began the grueling process of learning classical music from the get-go through the japanese method of teaching called Suzuki. At a young age I was involved in many chamber orchestras including the Metropolitan Youth Symphony Orchestra in Atlanta, GA. At the age of 8 I played a concert at Constitution Hall in Washington D.C.
At the age of 16 I began to experiment with other styles of playing the violin while still extensively studying classical music. I joined a band known as "Outside In" and a good friend of mine, Pete Schmidt, began to teach me how to improvise along with guitar chords. I started listening to modern rock music that incorporated strings into the compositions such as Dave Matthews Band and Widespread Panic. With this new interest in different outlets for my music I began to constantly focus on finding new ways to play the violin. While attending the College of Charleston, in Charleston, South Carolina I began to play with various groups. I experiemented with Irish, Cajun and Bluegrass Music and helped form the band "Trippin' On The Bricks". I studied extensively in Lafayette, LA the art of Cajun Fiddling with some astounding musicians. Through many jam sessions and songwriting with great friends such as Sara Yaste, DJ Kurfu, Simrit Kaur, She-rah, Matt Shawver and Trippin' On The Bricks I have enjoyed playing the violin more and more each year! There is nothing I enjoy more than gathering with musicians and making up songs and jamming. After College I moved to Atlanta, GA where I took several Protools classes so that I could begin recording with my violin and experimenting with looping and adding effects. I have composed pieces for the Fox Network telelvision show "Meet The Products" and interned at Doppler Studios. I am delighted to be able to share some of the projects and pieces I have worked on and participated in with JBA and the lovely members of Jukeboxalive.com I hope you enjoy!!!!!

Everyone can be in my band. I am currently playing music on a solo basis although a friend of mine, Kelly (Kung Fu Dynamite) are thinking of getting something together to play in downtown Asheville just for fun.
I am available for studio sessions and would love to jam with anyone, so hit me up!
I also play weddings...classical, bluegrass, irish and will learn songs for you too! I recently played a wedding for a friend and learned 3 Widespread Panic songs for the ceremony. It was great!!!
