about Dave Cooper
There's nothing much to say really apart from that I have been interested in music from an early age after hearing the Beatles when they broke onto the scene and changed music as it had never been changed before or since.
I first picked up a guitar around the age of 14 and had many fruitless attempts at trying to be the next Paul McCartney or Jimmy Page until one day in the 70's it began to click.
Anyway the years went past and due to life's little tricks and turns it was not until the late 90's that I managed to find the time and the finance to purchase some home recording gear and the result is what is on offer.
I have been writing songs on and off for 30 years, some lately with a friend of mine Ralph. Up to date I have written some 200 songs or so. Since purchasing the equipment I would like to think my playing and writing has improved and the songs I recorded are worth a listen and maybe you would like to purchase copy of my CD.
The songs are simple and come from the heart and mind and are all live music without the embellishments of professional studio gizmos and electronic trickery.

July 18th at 7:17pmThe DEVILS Own. Its been quite sometime since I've heard such a well written song exposing the many faces of satin. He is a force not to be taken lightly. Anyone who believes in some kind of a higher power understands he has an agenda. Great song and well performed . The lyrics kept my attention the whole way through. Another Beautifully done original. THE DEVILS OWN. The title says it all. Sincerly a friend and a fan Glen Granthem
May 24th at 3:36pmThank you for your friend request, Dave. I listened to 'It's alright now', 'I waited in vain' and 'Bridge of dreams'. I greatly enjoyed each one of your songs. I'll be back to listen to some more! Take care, Gabriella ~
April 22nd at 1:17amHi Dave! My name is Vicki, I am Steve's sister. I am the one that set up his page on this site. I let him know about the very nice comments you have left! He is so busy working, he does not have enough time to devote to his music, so I'm trying to help him out. If you want to hear more of his work, as well as Raven's I think he has the entire album on CD baby. Go to http://www.cdbaby.com/cd/WitchandToad to listen. I'm enjoying listening to your music! Best regards, Vicki Mramor
April 4th at 2:37amTheres a Bridge OVER TROUBLED WATER and Robin Trower sang about a Bridge OF SIGHS . I have to post this for everyone who sees it to read. BRIDGE OF DREAMS is where you want your thoughts to drift when crossing one. Theres a land across the river where the grass is always green. You can reach it if you want to, JUST cross THE BRIDGE OF DREAMS..Absolutely 100 per cent love this song. The boys from BLACKSTONE Joe and Glen.

March 9th at 8:45amLennon Digs every far out groovey song you lay down. If they raise the age limit on American Idol to over thirty you'd be the next big thing.. Lenny says stay cool and keep writing
March 1st at 3:38pmFOOT PRINTS IN THE SNOW.......SO great. The tune had that feel of a passionate (Creedence Clearwater) rhythm man. Your Lead vocal jumps out strong on this one with really good lyrics to back it up. The build up intro was a nice touch also. ( sweat drum fills) The clarity of the recording was a joy to listen too.....Two Thumps up Mr. Cooper !
November 16th at 11:58amHey Dave ! I just checked your play list to see whats been added. Really nice inventive guitar and effects on " I think I'll go Home " Your vocals on " alright now" I think has become my new favorite. You have an incredible library of work. PLEASE keep posting my friend. I think I am going to have to purchase one of your Cd's mate. The songs are versatile and fun to listen too. How ever you recorded your voice on " alright now" was a great match of microphone , equilization and vocal tone. Keep singing... I'll check back for the latest creative adventure soon. Glen in the great U.S. of A...........................................................................................................
November 5th at 7:05pmLady Tara is great Dave, really enjoyed it.
October 28th at 4:52pmI WAITED IN VAIN... This song dave is really nice. The more time I spend listening to your material The more impressed I am. The hook on this tune is great. The drum track keeps me wanting to hear the next verse. Top notch groove sir. This is the kind of sound I grew up with. BUT it doesn't come across as an old style rock ballad. This ones fresh and deserves a standing ovation. Its the kind of tune as a musician myself, I would try and capture in the studio . Loved your attention to detail , overlapping guitar tracks and smooth warm tones on the lead vocal. Hypnotic YET very awakening..Nothing better than a GREAT love song. The beatles made a career out of them. Two thumps up Mr. Cooper. sincerly Glen
October 26th at 11:34pmThe lyrics on your song Tear Drops are deep...a vivid image comes to mind when I listen..Loved that song. I know you explore much more than folk music but you really draw me in when you present that side of your creative talents..I'm a fan now..keep writing dave you've got the gift..sincerly glen of california
