Called "an ambassador of song" by US newspapers, DARIA (Daria Marmaluk-Hajioannou) has had the honor of traveling and performing in 15 countries across the globe. Because of her unique background, she speaks and sings in 8 languages including English, Spanish, Quechua Indian, German, Hebrew, Arabic and Oneida (Iroquois) and Lakota (Souix).
Daria’s recent album – BEATUTIFUL RAINBOW WORLD- includes material performed in her Middle Eastern concerts of 2006 – which ended up in the middle of the war zone during mid-July (see blog).
Daria is active in Native American, Peace and children’s issues. She hopes her songs will inspire a new view of the world – as a place that is filled with music, creativity, dignity and respect for all.

DARIA Offers Free Song Download to Honor Martin Luther King

Thanks to a partnership between Award-winning multi-cultural children’s artist DARIA and a popular musical website – SongsForTeaching.com – parents and children can now download free a wonderful new song about the life and legacy of Dr. Rev. Martin Luther King, Jr. The song is called: “I Have A Dream” and speaks in simple and singable terms about the wonderful vision of equality and dignity brought to life in the famous “I Have A Dream” speech. The song is from DARIA’s cd, also titled “I Have A Dream” which won Honor Awards from National Parenting Publications as an outstanding resource for parents. A widely touring children artist, DARIA’s songs have been used throughout the world – in South Africa, Australia, Peru and the Middle East. This song in particular has also been used across the United States as a part of many MLK Day celebrations.
