about Chach
Chach started beat boxing and rapping on the blacktop playground at Idlewild Elementary in Memphis, TN. Piano lessons after school, and Choir on Wednesdays and the weekends, he was immersed in music from an early age. He always loved to dance and entertain.
At fourteen he bought a 303 and has been making beats ever since. Around the same time Chach assumed his name and began emceeing at parties in D.C., Virginia, and as a regular guest of Asheville's GFE.
It was on tour with GFE that Chach was mistakenly photoed and labeled as their front man “Angry Andy” (who?!) by the Hip-Hop magazine, XXL. I guess he made an impression.
Chach has produced two Hip-Hop albums to date, The Unedited Letters of Charles Matthew and Krunkadelic Sounds of a Super Natural Hustler. He's performed at the Wetlands and at the Harlem Center with the Zulu Nation. He's played along side George Clinton Jr., Scott Free (Bo Diddley’s prodigy and manager since 1980), and Derrick Davis (son of PFunk’s ‘Ray Davis Jr.’ with the same earth rumbling bass voice as his dad, and world class bass guitar), and was termed “brilliant” by Erykah Badu.
More recently Chach has collaborated with Brace, the #1 R&B artist of Dutch speaking countries with 10 top 10 hits, 12 videos, and 5 #1 songs. Chach wrote his first English language track. He can be seen emceeing for The Secret B Sides, as a solo rapper, and performing singer songwriter material most properly dubbed as “urban folk”...
