about CatDesigners
CatDesigners is Nick Troop's secret identity (woops!)
Under the cloak of CatDesigners, Nick has recorded three solo albums. The first was "Chemical Jazz," a mixture of full versus minimalist arrangements and beautiful versus dirty little rock songs. The second was "Strange Little Creature," a selection of curios and ambiguous figures. The third (and current album) is "Tomorrow Never Knows," a 40th anniversary tribute to The Beatles' Revolver album. That's right, not an album of Beatles covers but a cover of an entire Beatles album.
Between "Strange Little Creature" and "Tomorrow Never Knows" Nick joined forces with Steve Heath (smiley bass) and Fred Binding (famous Cuban fag) to show up as CatDesigners for live performances. Then in the last year Nick started performing solo acoustic shows under his own name before going back into the studio to record his third solo CatDesigners album.
One day this control freak will let someone else play with his ball! (And, yes, there will be more of the band one day)
