Nevertheless, Vain started with 3 members (Keith, Nate, and Ryan) in Northwest suburban town Hammond, IN. Ryan is from a Park Forest, IL and was looking for a band to start and met Keith and Nate through a close friend. It was like destiny when Nate and Ryan first jammed out together on guitars and found a sound they could do well with together.

Months and months go by as the 3 are looking for a drummer and bass to complete the 5 piece metalcore band. With the help of a close friend of Keith's, we found a drummer at a school that he teaches at and finally almost completed the puzzle.

Our first show was held in a comic book store in Lansing, IL after 4 months of being a 4 piece metalcore band. After numerous shows and suggestions from friends and fans, the band decided to get a bassist. That's where Ramon's friend Robert came in and helped out and it worked out great!

After about 4-5 months with the addition of Robert, the band decided to hit the studio and record 4 quality tracks for a demo. NV continues to go back to the studio and record new songs every so often until by the time 2010 rolls around, they should have a full length cd.

The band continues to write "epic brutality, southern skillet style, and straight up heavy shredding riffs" and play shows in Indiana and Illinois areas. NV plans to start touring early 2010.
