Brazilian Girls self-titled album has a very broad appeal and at the same time makes an important contribution to the art-pop-dance community. Fans of the band from that community include Bebel Gilberto, Me'shell Ndegeocello, Thievery Corporation, N'dea Davenport, Chocolate Genius, Citizen Cope, Mushroom from Massive Attack, DJ Little Louie Vega, Los Amigos Invisibles, and DJ Nickodemus (to name a few). A recent appearance on KCRWs hit program Morning Becomes Eclectic gained a huge fan in widely respected DJ and TV/film music supervisor Nic Harcourt. Hot UK DJ, Gilles Peterson has also spun Brazilian Girls putting them at #25 on his world chart.

But, seeing is definitely believing and Brazilian Girls are a force to behold in live performance. Theyve been playing to packed clubs and have received stellar reviews in The New York Times, Time Out NY, Mojo and Flaunt magazines. Due in part to several small tours (one of which was with break-out band Ozomotli), the band has built a strong buzz on the East and West coasts in the US, Canada, and several countries in Europe (including the UK, France, Holland, Belgium, and Germany). The word is outthis band is HOT and sexy. Mysterious lead singer Sabina Scuibba is at the helm with erotic vocals sure to please.
