Asheville Music Jamboree is happy to return to Deerfields on Memorial Day Weekend for its second annual celebration of music, art, nature, friendship, and family. The festival will play host to national headlining acts as well as a variety of western North Carolina’s most talented musical acts. Confirmed artists for this year’s Asheville Music Jamboree include soulful jam-stars Gov’t Mule, reggae icon Burning Spear, New Orleans’ funk masters Ivan Neville’s Dumstaphunk, sacred steel ensemble The Lee Boys, former guitarist of the Drive-by Truckers Jason Isbell, pleasantly rebellious singer songwriter James McMurtry, jam beast RAQ, and the Jamie McLean Band. Western North Carolina is also well represented in the line-up, showcasing local artists such as Afromotive, Barrel House Mamas, Laura Reed and Deep Pocket, Josh Phillips Folk Festival, Kellin Watson, Bloodkin, Shannon Whitworth and the Refugees and the New Familiars. Additional artist announcements should be expected in the next few weeks. In addition the over 30 musical acts on 2 stages, AMJam will entertain its guests through an array of activities such as workshops, drum circles, parades, swimming, charity, outdoor contests, campground performances, a craft village, and fine dining (festival style of course!). As usual, the Asheville Music Jamboree welcomes children and families with open arms, and will provide a number of family friendly activities such as a Kid’s Parade and the Children’s Universe activity center. On top of a magnificent line-up and a myriad of activities for children and adults alike, the Asheville Music Jamboree includes camping throughout the festival’s 3 day duration. Deerfield’s Amphitheater, located 20 minutes south of Asheville in the Mills River Community, is a 940-acre family-owned tract of unspoiled wilderness offering camping, swimming, and hiking. Tent camping will be plentiful, with a secluded family campground set aside. Car camping and RV passes are also available at an additional cost. Only 2,500 tickets will be sold to this year’s Asheville Music Jamboree. Tickets ON Sale Now. A limited allotment of Early Bird tickets will be sold at a price of $125 on a first-come, first-serve basis. All other tickets are $140 in advance or $160 at the gate.
