Heading to Langerado Music Festival? What to Bring Along
Whether you're headed to this year's Langerado Music Festival Langerado Music Festival to see some of your favorite JukeboxAlive artists and kick off the music festival season or if you're planning on attending a festival later in the year, knowing what to bring along will make sure you have the best time possible. Getting a nasty sunburn the first day of a festival or not bringing along the necessities in your backpack each day can really put a damper on your good time, so a little planning ahead will make sure you're focusing on the music and not how thirsty you are or that you forgot your camera. Here are some things to keep in mind when packing for a music festival:
First you'll want to read the rules for the festival venue. Print this list of "cans" and "cannots" to use as a reference while you're packing. Some venues will allow cameras, for example, while others do not. If you can bring a camera, though, make sure you pack yours, including extra batteries and maybe even an additional memory card. If you're able, you'll want to take as many photos at the festival as you can to help you remember the amazing time you're going to have.
Don't underestimate the basics when packing for the festival. Plenty of bottled water, nonperishable snacks, sunscreen, lip balm, and the like are all things that you'll find yourself missing if you don't have. Bringing them with you instead of buying them at the festival will save money, too. Bringing your own water and snacks (again, if the venue allows) will save you time waiting in line and keep you hydrated and energized. Some first aid basics are a good idea, too- bandaids, aspirin, and hand sanitizer can really come in handy.
Finally, before you head to the festival each day, take an inventory of your bag. You don't want to carry around items all day you won't be using, but you also don't want to forget something and regret it. If you're seeing your favorite band later that day, for example, you may want to bring something for your favorite band member to sign and a permanent marker so you'll be prepared if an opportunity arises where you're able to attend a meet and greet. Packing thoughtfully will make your life easier, saving you time and money and allowing you to focus on the "task" at hand... having a good time!
