Raw and uncut; not tainted by the hype and always on her grind; Ashaa, a Vicksburg, Ms. resident and a lover of good music is making her stand. She is multi-talented as she produces her own tracks, sings and raps. "Music is my cup of coffee, it keeps me going, even when I feel I can't," she says. Her music is young, fresh, diverse, and real, she brings a uniqueness that is missing from music today. When I asked her what she wanted others to get from her music, she said, " I want my music to be a place where you can escape from pain and sadness and something that is relaying real issues, that are not just about money and the hype but real life too.
