Abiogenesis is the only band in nthe world that plays the Bamhum and Howey music. Bamhum is a new wind musical instrument made of bamboo invented by a band member Moa Subong which was unveiled by the Governor of Meghalaya on 3rd May 06 at Shillong. Howey is a new world genre deveoped by the band and it is a fusion of Naga Folk tunes with modern music.
