Loaded with talent, ambition and a unique dream of becoming the first internationally recognized Caucasian Chinese Pop Artist, Aasha is ready to make her mark on the music industry.

As a child growing up in Toronto, Aasha always had a great passion for the performing arts. She was extensively involved in music and received formal training on multiple instruments, such as piano, flute and voice and was part of award winning bands and orchestras. Aasha also received professional training in acting and has been cast in several TV shows, Music Videos and Feature Films. From an early age, Aasha realized that she had a great ability for learning languages. In addition to her formal training in English and French, Aasha took a keen interest in learning to speak Chinese. Aashas desire to learn Chinese came from her fascination with the Chinese culture and her admiration for her favorite movie star, Bruce Lee. Aasha started learning Chinese using multiple self-study techniques, but more recently has studied Chinese formally in a Language Academy in Taiwan and now studies with a private tutor.

From Aashas love for the performing arts, and skills in the Chinese language, arose her dream of becoming a Chinese pop recoding artist. In 2001, Aasha began writing, composing and recoding Chinese pop songs and collaborated with multiple producers throughout the US. With a unique style, Aasha mixes English and Chinese lyrics with sounds from multiple music genres such as pop, R&B, dance, and hip-hip, and tops it off with an exotic Asian flare. Aasha is the first Caucasian artist to write, produce and record Chinese pop music and the first artist to have Chinese pop songs rank in the US Top 10 Pop Charts.

With the release of Aashas music in the US and international markets came an abundance of interest from listeners worldwide. Thousands of fans have flocked to listen to her music that has topped the Internet music charts both domestically and internationally. Aasha was voted #1 Hot Artist on Asias largest music site, had 5 singles charting in the Top 10 on the MP3.com Pop Charts, ranked #1 (of 250,000 artists) on Soundclick.com, has been featured in several articles throughout the world, and soon her music will be heard in upcoming feature films and TV Series.

Aashas unique story has generated much interest and there is now a documentary in production about Aashas career as a Chinese Pop Artist.

Aasha is set to release a new version of her Dream CD with new tracks, remixes and celebrates the Chinese Year of The Dog with part of the proceeds from CD sales being donated to K9 Charities.

As a one-of-a-kind artist, Aasha is ready to make her mark on the music industry and give the world something they have never seen before.
